Berry Patchwork this weekend had it’s 2015 Retreat. As part of the weekend there is special exhibits also the finale of the current challenges.
This year was, A World of Texture, Red Obsession and Kimberly Dreaming. I entered all three and very happy to announce I won 3rd prize in Kimberly Dreaming with my ‘Swept Away’ depicting a camel on Cable Beach, Broome WA.
My other entries where ‘Hooked on Red’ being a portrait of Red Symons in his Skyhooks (Australian legendary rock band in the 70’s) days. Á number of textures’ a little abstract from my normal work which I found enjoyable and a challenge/adventurous thing to do. It was a pleasure for my quilts to be part of a great event and exhibit. Congratulations to all the winners and participants and a big thank you to Elizabeth Dubbelde of Berry Patchwork for orgainising and hosting this event and supporting the Textile art industry.
