It’s been a busy few months! First of all my Deceptive Markings (Elephant Head) made from a panel from Reece Scannell had it’s debut in Melbourne as part of Victorian Quilters Showcase 2018 at Craft and Quilt Fair. I entered it into competition ‘Art Quilt’ section and thrilled when it won a 1st!! Yay
Then I was off to Uluru for Caroline Sharkey’s 2018 Uluru retreat but as a student this time enrolled into the lovely talented Sophie Standing’s class. Had the best time with so many others. Just days after coming home I was off again to do my 2nd last tutoring gig at the Berry Quilting Retreat 2018, where my quilts including Deceptive Markings were part of the huge quilt display at Berry School of Arts hall. I also had an entry into One Red Thread – themed WeathRED, mine was Abandoned – FJ Holden pictured below and it won a 2nd!! Thrilled to bits as the entries were just so good. Congratulations to Stephanie Allen who won 1st, Katherine Jones on 3rd and Caroline Sharkey whom won Judges Commendation.
After Berry it was back home and then off to teach my last class for in Wandin Nth at Yarra Quilt, Yarn & Sew. I’ve had a wonderful time teaching and I’m so exhausted but so thrilled with all the lovely ladies that have been in the classes over the last 3 years. It was wonderful to share with you how I do things.

Too bad I do not live in Australia, I would love to take one of your classes. I just love the abandoned car and the leopard. Thanks for sharing

Thanks Ann. Bigger stuff is on the board right now. Hopefully they’ll turn out how I want them to too!
