AQC 2024: Triumphs and Inspirations

17 April 2024

As the curtains close on another exhilarating Australian Quilt Convention (AQC) 2024, I am filled with gratitude and awe for the community and the shared passion that brought us all to Melbourne. It’s been an unforgettable weekend of inspiration, and artistic achievement.

A Personal Triumph

I am thrilled to share that during this year’s convention, I was honored with three awards for Diamond Dog in the Australia Quilt Show (AQS). Winning these awards amidst such talented peers is incredibly humbling and motivates me to push the boundaries of my craft even further.

Stunning Exhibitions: The quilt show was a spectacular display of creativity and craftsmanship. Each quilt told a story, rich in detail and bursting with innovation.

Another one of the highlights of AQC was the chance to reconnect with fellow quilters and dear friends from across the country. Each reunion sparked joy and a renewed sense of community as we celebrated each other’s achievements, and inspired one another to tackle new challenges. The warmth and camaraderie of these moments truly embody the spirit of AQC and make each year’s event profoundly memorable.

As AQC 2024 ends, the experiences here will resonate with us throughout the year. The awards I received are a wonderful encouragement, but the true reward is the continuous friendships fostered through this event.

Thank you to everyone who participated, organized, and celebrated at AQC 2024. Here’s to carrying the inspiration forward and to meeting again next year with even more vibrant and innovative creations!
