Embracing the New Year, New Works are coming!
Hello from my studio in Melbourne! As we step into 2024, I'm filled with excitement and a sense of personal renewal, ready to share my latest artistic explorations with you. This year is particularly special to me as it's a blend of my passions: textiles art, mixed media creations, and painting. Painting, my first love, is taking on new hues this year. I'm merging traditional brushstrokes with contemporary ideas, reflecting my own growth. Taking more time to study the Masters

Aurifil Threads July Challenge
Yay 'Born to be Wild' is now under my needle for Quilting. As a Aurifil Artisan I have the opportunity to do the monthly Artisan Challenge. So for July the challenge was to work on a project featuring 40wt thread....now hardly a challenge to do that!! My Exhibition so far so good!
Well I started my week like this.... What fun! Kyabram Town Hall Gallery is hosting my textile exhibit until the end of April and they invited Win News from the local TV Network to come do a story on my work in the exhibit. As a bonus so many ladies happen to come as well that morning which made it even more fun. You can watch the news report here.

My solo exhibition 'Cascade of Works' opening next week.
As of Monday the 15th March, Kyabram Town Hall Gallery in Kyabram, will be hosting my solo exhibit of Textiles and a couple of Mixed Media pieces for 7 weeks! This is the first time all my works will be hung together in one giant room for display. I am so looking forward to this as I, myself are longing to see them all hang there. Due to Covid 19, lock downs, around the world etc. last year, quilt shows around the world were cancelled. Why do I mention that you ask? So many

The Archibalds...I tried and I will try again
Shimmering Jenny - mixed media 1.95m x 1.5m This is my portrait of a very important and lovely person, our amazing Jenny Bowker AO. Although I didn't get into the Archibalds as a finalist, the experience of first approaching Jenny then flying up to spend a day with Jenny and her wonderful husband Bob. Setting up to take the photos with my husband Carl. To then doing some smaller test runs and finally to bite the bullet by approaching the real big one. Thoroughly enjoyed all
