‘Shape I’m In’ not only gets into Quiltcon Together 2021 from the Modern Quilt Guild, but I win a prize as well, 3rd place in Pieced section. I’m so thrilled this happened, it was my third attempt to even get into Quiltcon. Congratulations to all the winners and even to exhibit, congratulations.
You can see ‘Shape I’m In’ at my solo exhibit in Kyabram Town Hall from the 15th March to the 30th April, along with another 38 quilts and mixed media pieces. More information in my next post.
So ‘Shape I’m In’ is big and bold, also my second Polygon quilt. Using mainly Hand Dyed fabrics (I had a lot) with freezer paper piecing method I managed to get this quilt top done and quilted whilst in lockdown last year. She’s been in the planning for a couple of years now and the design originally came from a photo I took in a Coastal town whilst holidaying in Zanzibar of this gorgeous young girl in the village.
